Scooter is 100% clear as tested by PawPrint Genetics for all of the following:
EIC, CNM, PRA-pcrd, RD/OSD, DM, SD2, & HNPK
D Locus (DD Normal/Clear)

  • Scooter was the easiest dog to train in over 40 years.
  • He was so calm as a puppy, people often asked me if he felt okay.
  • But when it came to retrieving he had two speeds; sitting and full out.
  • He literally knew the commands sit, stay, here, down, hold, & kennel to voice, whistle and hand signals our to 200 yards at 11 weeks old.
  • How may Labs at 12 weeks old have you seen hold a duck at sit, and not move except to wag his tail for an hour! Scooter did with ease!
  • Scooter was making 120 yard retrieves at 11 weeks.
  • Scooter was gun broke at 11 weeks of age and pointed birds hard.
  • Scooter ran and passed his first two hunt tests at 4 months old.
  • We decided he had so much natural hold and retrieving abilities we decided to start his retrieving career at this young age.
  • He passed the next two SHR tests, earning his first title at 5 months.
  • By the time Scooter was 6 months old he had 9 Hunt Tests passes across theHRC, APLA & AKC and held 3 hunt test titles.
  • Scooter was my dream dog in every aspect you can think of.
  • At 10 months old he earned his first Advanced title yes running blinds as well and still had not been forced fetched.

Scooter is a proven stud with litters and puppies all over the world. The only continent he doesn’t have litters on in South America that we know of. Scooter will have sired over 250 litters worldwide by the time we run out of his semen.

Scooter has well over a hundred titled offspring all over the world. He really throws his talent in his offspring. Especially in his male pups. We know of at least two males that earned MH titles at 16 months of age. Now that’s even more incredible than Scooter himself.

Scooter’s health clearances are awesome as well. His hips scored Excellent, and he has normal Elbows & Eyes. He is dilute free and is 100% clear for EIC, CNM, PRA, RD/OSD, DM, SD2 & HNPK.

  • Scooter headed south that first winter and went through the force fetch and swim by process. He completed both these in 21 days.
  • By 12 months old he was running Master setups with ease.
  • Winter settle in and we waited 3.5 months with no tests to be found.
  • Scooter earned his SH title at 16 months.
  • Scooter earned his MH title at 21 months and 5 days old.
  • At 21 & 22 months old he earned his MPR & GMPR Pointing titles.
  • After just two months with his first Field Trial pro, Scooter earned his QAA at just barely two years of age.
  • Scooter had become the youngest dog in history by more than 13 months to earn his GMPR, QAA & MH titles. WOW! We are blessed.
  • In fact, Scooter was the youngest dog at every single event to earn all the following titles: SHR, CPR, JH, APR, SH, MH, MPR, GMPR, QAA & QA2.
  • Scooter had multiple placements in Field trials both in US & Canada.
  • Scooter’s Open win came in Canada even beating the 2014 CNATCH FTCH AFTCH NDC FC AFC Upon the Wings of an Answered Prayer.
  • Scooter is one of the rare FOX REDS to have qualified for 4 Field Trial Nationals.
  • In 2014 he ran in 8 series in the Canadian National Championships.

He is so laid back and just a dream. Even with females in season under his nose in our home, he never once raised a leg to mark his territory. He was so biddable as a pup and in the right hands should have accomplished even more. But I was relatively new to hunt tests and at the time didn’t know anything about the Field Trial game. But live and learn as they say.

Scooter’s young dog achievements may never be surpassed. What joy he has brought us and to everyone he ever met. Scooter was my one in a million. He is still being offered out for stud via frozen semen. His stud fee is $2,000 and assumes 3 pups or more. If you want the possibility of producing your 1 in a million dog, then give us a shout.

FC HRCH Black Ice’s Carbon Copy of Ammo Mud Bud “Buddy” MH QA2

Buddy is 100% clear as tested by PawPrint Genetics for all of the following:
EIC, CNM, PRA-pcrd, RD/OSD, DM, SD2, & HNPK
D Locus (DD Normal/Clear)

Buddy’s story starts out some three years before we bought him at 6 weeks of age. A good friend told me about Ammo’s record-setting Derby career with 144 Derby points shattering the old record of 109 Derby points. He said, this is the Chocolate lines you want. So I called Deb, the owner of Santa Fe Labs and asked if I could put a deposit down. She said yes, and I was # 18 on that list. HOLY COW, I thought. I might never get a pup.

To make a long story short, we waited three years and Buddy was 1 of 11 pups from the 4th breeding between these two greats in Tyra a GMPR MH and Roux and FC AFC MH. When I showed up to make my pick, I asked Deb if I could pull the flight feathers from this pigeon she had sitting in a bird bag. She agreed so I did saw. I had all 11 pups wanting the bird and I tossed it maybe 10 feet away.

It was game on. The yellow colored collared male run over the top of one pup, snatched up the bird and the other 10gave chase. I am not kidding, 40 minutes later the other 10 pups were sound asleep and had given up trying to get this bird from this male. This male, who right then and there I named Buddy, still after 40 minutes later, not once had put that bird down. Buddy was 42 days old when he did this. I knew these pups were special and Buddy has never left me down since!

I got Buddy home at the young age of 43 days. He could already go on a walk on a lead so he learned heel really quick. On that same day I started rolling a ball in the driveway for him to chase. Chase heck, he would retrieve it to hand every time and was running just as fast has his little legs could go. Then I started throwing him a 2 inch orange bumper the way you would throw one for a 6 month old. I was throwing this bumper into my neighbor’s yard as far as I could throw it, and how that little stinker could see it, mark it and retrieve it back to hand was like something I never imagined.

You take a puppy at 43 days old and see if it can mark like this. I tell you it is very rare. But these Tyra & Roux pups develop great eye sight and great depth perception at very young ages. The rest is history. What follows are just the highlights of Buddy’s accomplishments to date. Yes at almost 11, he still plays the game.

  • Buddy earned his JH & SH titles without failing a test.
  • Buddy had earned 27 Hunt Test passes and 6 Titles at 24 months.
  • He earned his MH title at 24 months having to wait through winter to earn his last couple of passes.
  • Buddy earned his QAA at two years of age.
  • We doubled stake him that same weekend in the Open as well and he ran in 3 of the 4 series as a two year old.
  • Buddy earned his QA2 with a 2nd Place in an Open.
  • Then in the span of just 7 weeks Buddy earns three top 3 placements in Opens along with his Win to earn his FC.
  • There has only been 10 or so Chocolate AKC FC’s ever.
  • In 2019 Buddy was the #1 Open and All Age Chocolate in the country and was the only Chocolate to qualify for the 2019 NRC.
  • At the 2019 National Retriever Championship Buddy made a believer out of everyone, finishing 8 of the 10 series. Something only a couple of Chocolates have ever done.
  • Buddy is out of the ONLY CHOCOLTE blood lines with 4 generations in a row of FC AFC’s in (Barracuda Blue, Blue Ryder, Louisiana Roux & Ammo).

Buddy has a heart the size of Texas. His focus and maturity at a young age was something else. Several Pro trainers now have pups from Buddy and they too can’t believe how smart these pups from Buddy are. There are several Pro trainers that I know of who repeatedly breed to Buddy. Buddy is the real deal and has the titled offspring to prove he is a good producer. Not all studs pass on their good traits. But Buddy truly does.

Buddy is dilute free and has excellent hips, normal eyes & elbows and is 100% clear for EIC, CNM, PRA, RD/OSD, DM, SD2, & HNPK. His current stud fee is $2500. His average litter size with Frozen is 10.1 pups and he has several litters of 13 pups born in the past few years.

Call to learn more about Buddy, his offspring and have a blessed day.

Mugz is 100% clear as tested by PawPrint Genetics for all of the following:
EIC, CNM, PRA-pcrd, RD/OSD, DM, SD2, & HNPK
D Locus (DD Normal/Clear)

Mugz is a brilliant young dark chocolate prospect and direct son of FC AFC It’s All Over Now Baby Blue. Blue retired after a very limited All Age Career with 66 points. Those that knew him and have developed his offspring like we have, know these are very special bloodlines. Blue was crossed with HRCH MPR Black Ice’s Pirates Cannon Blast From the Past MH40. Mugz’s registered name is a combination of his two parents in Black Ice’s Pirates Blast Blue Ale MH, call name MUGZ!

Mugz’s AKC Hunt Test trainer, Rusty Haglund loves this dog. Early own we both recognized his talent to mark. Is MUGZ a better marking dog at this age compared to Buddy and Scooter? Rusty and I both agree he is. Yeah, wow. Now that is something else. He is still very young at just two years of age and he did earn his SH & MH titles quickly. But he has a ways to go to get his FC as he first begin his pursuits for the HRCH Grand title and his QA2.

Mugz looks a great deal like Buddy although not related at all. He is a very handsome blocky flat headed dark chocolate. What I like about is two things. First, he is darker and taller than Buddy. MUGZ is closing in on 70 lbs and is very well built good looking stud. The second thing I love about this dog is how refined he is at such a young age. By refined, I mean well-tuned especially when lining him up for blinds. Most 24 month olds when you tweak them left or right, move their snout or head too much. Rusty has Mugz as fine-tuned as an FC / AFC.

Mugz matured quickly and has a great desire to please. His focus day in and day out is fantastic. He is currently being offered for natural, chilled & frozen breeding’s at just $1,000.

Amateur Trained and handled to her HR Title. She also has her SH title but has been doing Master level work, like her Dad Scooter since she was 18 months old.

We will be pursuing her HRCH and Master titles after this litter. The sky is the limit for her. She can run ALL AGE marks and blinds. Moxie loves to work and certainly would rather work than eat. I wish I could say the same about me…lol.

She is so driven / focused and loves to please you. Nudge is just a joy to train or to watch a movie with. She has perfect health clearances and is a fabulous Mom. She loves any puppies, cats, dogs etc. She is simply one of the happiest Labs we have ever owned.

Shot in a word is simply precious. I call her my little Shot and my sure Shot. First, she only weighs 48 lbs. I call her my sure Shot for she never failed a Hunt Test to earn her Junior & Senior AKC titles. Shot is a beautiful, well balanced chocolate who is very trainable.

She is certainly biddable and loves to play. She is the exact type of personality you want on the matt with you or in the duck blind. She is very laid back and just loves people.

Charlie is 100% clear as tested by PawPrint Genetics for all of the following:
EIC, CNM, PRA-pcrd, RD/OSD, DM, SD2, & HNPK

D Locus (DD Normal/Clear)

Charlie is a very fun loving chocolate who has had a rough life to say the least. We whelped her litter from our FC HRCH Buddy MH QA2 and our HRCH MPR Blast MH40. She was sold to a guy who said he was a Pro trainer and he turned out to be closer to a puppy mill. A dear friend of mine forced this guy to sell her and made her available to me when Charlie was almost 4 years old.

She was never trained and we have had her with two pro's over the last year to see if we can put some titles on her. She does have perfect health clearances and prior to us buying her, she had two litters and we understand she is a great Mom. Charlie is a real sweetheart and we are happy to have her back in the fold.

D Locus (DD Normal/Clear)

Weed is a beautiful small framed Black Lab and a full littermate to Armor. Yes, I bought a pair of these pups because of how great these blood lines are. Weed was clearly the runt of the litter and now at almost two, just weighs 50 lbs. She is so calm, but super super smart. To me she looks like her Dad, Denver, just smaller.

She is running triples and solid blinds out to 150 yards. She is so talented and his made for this game. She too starts her pursuit for her HRCH title in February of 2022. Weed can easily be a MH and has the control to pass some Grands. God willing and if our funds hold out.

Armor is 100% clear as tested by PawPrint Genetics for all of the following:
EIC, PRA-pcrd, RD/OSD, DM, SD2, & HNPK

D Locus (DD Normal/Clear)

Armor is an amazing chocolate developing talent. She earned her SH title very quickly and is working on her HRCH and Master titles. Her Sire is FC AFC Summit’s Take Me Home Country Roads “Denver” son of FC AFC It’s All Over Now Baby Blue. Armor is a marking machine and for me to say that having owned an FC, and multiple QAA’s says a lot about this females abilities.

Armor loves to work and learns new concepts quickly. Our plans for her include a GRHRCH title and she will have a couple of litters for us for she has Baby Blue as her Grand Father on her Sire’s side and our FC’s Buddy’s Dad on her Dam side. An outstanding pedigree and we can’t wait to see how far she can go.

Manna is 100% clear as tested by PawPrint Genetics for all of the following:
EIC, CNM, PRA-pcrd, RD/OSD, DM, SD2, & HNPK

D Locus (DD Normal/Clear)

Manna just turned one on 12/19/21. She is one focused, smart female. She learns extremely fast and there is nothing she can’t do. She too has perfect health clearances to date and we will get her Hips and Elbows evaluated when she turns two. Manna has an outstanding pedigree and some big shoes to fill if she is going to walk in her Grand Mothers foot steps.

For Manna is our Chocolate Grand Daughter from the 2014 CNAFC FTCH AFTCH 09’ NDC FC AFC Upon the Wings of An Answered Prayer “Ammo.” Ammo holds every single season Field Trial record they track. 96 All age points in one season and the winner of 4 Double Headers in a single season. Ammo holds the high point Derby mark with 144 Derby points. That is why Manna’s registered name is Black Ice’s Answered Prayer Manna.

We owned Manna’s Mom, Glory, one of the only three daughters Ammo ever had. Glory is a beautiful Black female and perhaps one of the best marking females I have ever seen. She once pinned every mark across a month of all age training at just 30 months of age. Glory earned her QAA at just 28 months of age.

Manna, for now is a more slender built female and is very intelligent. She was running 120 yard marks at just 8 weeks of age. She is working on her SH title and will pursue her MH & HRCH titles. Then we will see what our plans are after that. Her sire is a gorgeous Chocolate named Frankel’s Perfect Line Thunder QA2. Thunder earned his QA2 with an Open Win so we pray he earns his FC someday and joins a small group of elite Chocolates with this hard to earned title. Check back here for updates as our little miracle from heaven, Manna develops.
